i love the damien is a robot theory but…. it’s just not logical. i’ve mentioned this before and it’s that there is no reason for eros to let damien live on his own for the past however many years. rowan west even says the matches are like his children and laughs at the idea of them living own their own. i just don’t see eros letting damien have a life and i can’t come up with a reason behind it. and he can’t be a siren. that’s new technology and we’ve known damien for four years. plus damien can’t process emotion from the abstract. that’s what eros is trying to fix and i imagine the sirens are advanced enough to be able to describe art. he’d also need a handler which i’d say is alana, but he hasn’t seen her in years. though i guess it could be someone we don’t know. damien also has a legit job. he is a private investigator and actually works opposed to hayden who just thought they did. and i think damien was in the eros system as candidate instead of client simply because he’s not a client. they weren’t able to get him a match so he’s candidate. also his number was 348 while steve and gary were in the 100s. plus hayden’s mind didn’t link up with damien’s. i feel like he would have been able to tell if he was a match. and honestly how do you go that long and not realize something’s off. especially when you’re tracking down other robots and finding out how to tell if someone is one. when we were at dinner with rowan west damien didn’t freak out when he realized hayden couldn’t process the painting. and then he completely freaks out in the finale. it seems like he’s just realizing it and for an investigator it just seems unlikely. i like the robot all along theory, but there are just too many buts for me to be able to believe it
