This is frustrating. The problem is so obviously the fact that she wants Hana to marry a man, not a woman. But the game isn’t saying it, so it’s just ignoring the giant homophobic elephant in the room.

Hey, guess what? Refusing to outright acknowledge the homophobia doesn’t make it go away. Mrs. Lee is homophobic. End of story.

They dance around all sexuality in TRR, nothing is confirmed in the book and it’s never talked about.

I just wish that Hana would have come out in book 2 first to her friends and then to her father when they went to Shanghai. Her relationship with MC would have still been a secret and she could have explained that the reason it didn’t work out with Liam was because she was gay. That way whether you were dating Hana or not her conflict with her parents would have gotten to be a proper plot point. Her mom would have had to find out from her dad and Hana would have had to leave Shanghai terrified of her mom finding out without her there. MCs duchy party would have been the first time Hana saw her mother in person since she found out and she could react in a much similar manner just about her daughter running away from the perfectly successful men she arranged for some ‘trist’ with a girl. This should have been a bigger deal and not some one chapter conclusion that brushes her moms homophobic view about Hana marrying a women aside.

Sorry for kinda ranting on your post. I just agree so much, it’s insanely frustrating how trr treats this stuff now.
