The historical inaccuracies are partly done to maximize player entertainment. But also, they’re deliberate. 

The writers are very aware of history, they know how everything is supposed to go. But the presence of our MC is a new factor. Her involvement could change how things go, especially if she’s allowed to do things as drastic as murdering Marc Anthony.

It’s not just a historical fiction book, it’s an ALTERNATE historical fiction book. And because of this alternate history going differently, the world starts to differ from ours. And that’s why Pixelberry stories set in modern day have elements that our world doesn’t such as robots and vampires.

Maybe our MC is somehow going to be responsible for Gaius! Who knows!!
