why y'all mad? thought we all agreed ending things at their natural conclusion >> dragging them out pointlessly

There’s no way that everything will be given a proper conclusion in 2 chapters. Just some questions

- where’s dames?

- why was keegan introduced as an ally if they’re hardly going to appear at all?

- Harley doesn’t get any kind of arc?

- is there not more to the rowan / cecile flashbacks?

- no actual romance for Khaan / Alana stans?

- closure / understanding for Hayden?

- do we not get to see happiness with our li(s) outside of being on the run?

I’m all for closing things off when it’s time, but there’s no way they can wrap everything up in a way that feels whole with only two chapters left 😢

Idk we may get a conclusion we weren’t expecting, since they made this story and they know where they want it to go. I’m kind of surprised how abrupt this is…

i think they just want to end the eros arc and don’t want to make a new villain tbh. another book with more running from eros plot would be… let’s be honest there are only so many ways they can do that before they start recycling heavily with only changing the fine details or worse, getting too ridiculous none of us can take it seriously anymore. (assuming we defeat eros) pulling a new villain out of nowhere is also a terrible idea, so our new villain(s) would probably be 1) a match/siren gone wild, which defeats eradicating eros 2) our own allies, but everyone will hate this esp since they’re all our LIs now or 3) one of those extra background guys none of us cares about aka too forced.

without eros/other villains, the book will be distinctly Not like perfect match. after all, the pm we know and love is an action book with romance on the side, not the other way around. if they give us a minor conflict romance book about the characters being in love and figuring themselves out, it would be less exciting for us who has been playing strategy. imagine the latest chapter— cute, but no main plot progression— for 20 chapters. at that point the book would probably be comparable to the senior with our mc just going around person to person dealing with their personal issues.

and please god don’t let them add more layers to this story. they did that with endless summer and look how that turned out. (speaking of which es also had an underwhelming rushed ending so i guess its fair to blame pb’s writing lol)

don’t get me wrong, i’m down for some more chapters, more explanations and more closure. but idk how they can get around a new book in a good way.
