For some reason, I can’t imagine that she smokes. I imagine she’ll have tried a few cigarettes, cigars and cigarillos in her life and will have perhaps smoked socially… but I don’t see her as being the type to smoke regularly. 

She is exceptionally pragmatic, resourceful and forward thinking. She may carry a lighter for emergencies. 

I’m pretty sure she uses the lighter for when she needs to give somebody a brand. I personally see Kamilah as someone who’d be terribly annoyed by the smell and smoke cigarettes produce.
